Alex’s new truck

in Archives on 05/16/08

Thirteen year old Alex received a letter from my dad the other day.  After reading it he informed me with great excitement that Grandpa was giving him his old chevy pick-up truck and they are going to rebuild and restore it together!

I know that truck.  Dad bought it used when I was in high school.  At the time it was only a few years old.  Now, it’s nearly 30 years old.

A couple of days later Dad brought the truck to the house.

When my son looks at it, this is what he sees:

But this is what is actually sitting in my yard!

My yard will never be the same.
