Best picture of Hudson!

in Archives on 04/19/08

The taxes are done and even though we owe waaay more than we’ve ever owed anybody in our lives, we can finally relax.  Hubby and I haven’t done anything fun together for awhile, unless you count hanging out at the hospital the night I had my c-section.  The pain meds made me pretty loopy and he got a real kick out of some of the stuff I was saying.  I don’t really remember it though, so it doesn’t count.

So, since the older kids were doing overnight youth activities we took the babies and checked into a local hotel.  It was inexpensive, they had a 24 hour pool that was VERY warm, and a hot breakfast was included.

Phoebe totally enjoyed the pool and then slept like a champ until she fell out of bed around 5:00.  This woke up baby Hudson who had been sleeping better than he’s ever slept.  But they both went back to sleep pretty quickly and we didn’t get up until 9:00.  It was great!  And it was a change of pace.  And it was a fun thing to remember while hubby is in Belize this week.  He leaves at 4:30 in the morning.  I hate it when he leaves, but once he’s gone I’m okay.  It’s just the leaving part that stinks.

So, we’ve got a long week ahead of us, and once again I’m hoping to get some extra things done around here.  I don’t know why when hubby is out of town I think I’m going to magically accomplish more than I do when he’s here to help with the babies.  I guess I’m just one of those people whose dreams can’t be squashed no matter how unrealistic.

Here a couple of pictures I took of my sweet babies last night.
