Most recent Belize Trip–week 1

in Archives on 07/18/09

Our most recent trip to Belize was from May 30-June 14th.  All the dates on the pictures below are wrong!  The first week was a business trip for Nathan, so I tagged along with the toddlers.  The second week was a mission trip for our church, so our older kids came down on the 7th with the rest of the team.  The following pictures are from the first week.

We went down a day early so we could spend the night in Dangriga at Jaguar Reef Resort.  We are normally in Belmopan, which is nowhere near the beach.   Phoebe loves flowers and was thrilled to find so many beautiful flowers in Belize.  She was especially excited to find flowers on our beds!  The had origami folded towels tucked with flowers on each of the beds.  Even the crib!

We drove directly here from the airport which took about three hours.  We spent some time on the beach and had a nice dinner.

Due to the time change, the babies were up VERY early the next morning.  Phoebe and I went exploring around 6:00 a.m.
Here are some beautiful mosaic butterflies we found.

And here she is watching the sunrise on the beach.

We spent the day in the ocean

In the pool

And on the beach

Hudson truly hated the beach.  He decided he had enough and he was going back to the room!

He found a cabana that resembled ours and tried to get in!

After a lovely lunch we headed to Belmopan for the rest of the week.  Pictures to be posted shortly!!
