Facebook and the new year!

I realized that I have not updated my blog in quite a while.  Not that I’ve been very good at blogging anyway, but quite a while has passed since I added anything personal.  Why?  Because I joined Facebook and have been spending lots of time looking up old friends!  The kids have been on facebook for a while, and last week I finally convinced hubby to join.  He is more obsessed than I am!  He has been on for hours, making silly comments, adding friends, and chatting.  At one point there were four of us here in the house chatting with each other online.  Shelby said it “weirded” her out.  But it’s a nice form of communication for a family that is on the computer a lot anyway.

As soon as I get the cord to our camera I will share our Christmas pictures and pics of Hudson’s first birthday.  Can you believe he is already one?  I am enjoying every second of these last few days of his babyhood before he becomes an official toddler.

Tomorrow I am kicking off the New Year with my very first 5K!  I will be mostly walking as this is a fairly new endeavor for me, but I am excited to be starting the new year by jumping right in on my first resolution!  I have signed up for the Indy 500 festival 5K in May and I fully intend to run that one!  After tomorrow’s run I will be celebrating with one of my girlfriends at Gibby’s Donut Shop.  Can’t start all my resolutions in one day!

Tonight we are hosting the appetizer portion of the youth progressive dinner, and then the babies and I will be hanging out at home while Nathan and the kids go the rest of the route.  I am hoping the littles will be in bed by 9:30 and then I will finish off the leftover appetizers and get to sleep!
