Libbi’s wedding

in Archives on 10/28/08

You know I hate blogging unless I have pictures to share.  Well, I FINALLY have a few pictures!!  These are from my younger sister’s wedding.  Libbi and Fred were married this past Sunday, October 26th, at 10:30 a.m.  The ceremony was performed by my dad and was for immediate family only.  Then at 12:30 they had a reception for all friends and family.  I think there were around 150 people.  The buffet was delicious as was the pumpkin chocolate chip wedding cake!  The favors were pumpkin spice flavored Hershey kisses with their names and date on the bottom.  So cute!  Also, since Fred’s heritage is middle eastern, there were five candy coated almonds at each place setting with a little explanation about the tradition surrounding almonds at a wedding.  Everything was very sweet and absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!

Congratulations Fred and Libbi!  I hope you are have a fabulous time in the Bahamas!

Her dress was gorgeous.  The back was stunning!

Our sister Mandee did a great job as hair stylist for a day!

The Vows

The cake

In memory of mom.  They also had one for Fred’s dad.

Phoebe with her new friend Max, Fred’s nephew.  Monday morning she told me she “hugged Maksh, and danced with Maksh, and pulled Maksh arm.”

Hudson isn’t really much of a party animal yet.  Thankfully, he slept through the entire meal!

We were thrilled that Aunt Jean was able to make it!  She is 89 years old, and had a grand time buck dancing while everyone else was belly dancing.  It was quite an eclectic crowd!

I can’t believe ran out of memory before I was able to take pictures of Fred’s family.  The women were so beautiful, dancing and celebrating.  His mom tried to teach Mandee and I how to “belly dance.”  I have a belly, but not much rhythm.  Abby and Katie picked it right up though!!
